Anderson covets what he cannot have.
Scott Collura and Jim Vejvoda of IGN.com reported on movie director, Paul W.S. Anderson's aspirations to turn the hit Konami video game, Metal Gear Solid, into a feature film.
Anderson's producing partner, Jeremy Bolt, said that Sony Pictures controls the film rights for the game, so it would be their call. In other words, its nothing more than a personal desire of Anderson and Bolt to do the movie so video game and movie fans can breathe a sigh of relief that Anderson will not be getting his hands on Solid Snake anytime soon with his poor resume.
According to Bolt, both he and Anderson are still currently attached to work on a film adaptation of the videogame Castlevania, unfortunately, and a new script draft is being written. Video game faithful would hope that it never gets past the development stage.
