Sledgehammer Games to be led by former Visceral guys.
Activision have announced the opening of a new development studio called Sledgehammer Games, and have also announced that former Visceral employees Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey will take positions as Executive Producer and Senior Development Director respectively.
The duo are best known for being two of the leading lights behind Dead Space, one of the better survival horror games to be released in recent times, but they left the EA owned Visceral in July of this year to pursue pastures new with Activision.
Sledgehammer is currently actively recruiting new talent to the studio, but there's no word on what sort of projects the team will be working on, though it is suspicious that the studio's opening has been announced at a similar time to Activision saying they are going to bring in a thrid developer to the Call of Duty series.
