Nintendo Vitality Sensor News
Posted by Joe Roche on 11.19.2009

At E3 2009 Nintendo shocked everyone by showing off the Wii Vitality Sensor. It was a shock to convention attendee's because frankly nobody was quite sure what the sensor was, or what it could be used for. According to Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime Nintendo plans to show off the device at E3 2010 along with the first compatible games.

"We will show off the Vitality Sensor with software [at the show]," Fils-Aime succinctly said to Kotaku. "I'm not going to give you any more hints beyond that." This seems to suggest their original intention to release the device "not too late in the next year," according to Nintendo president Satoru Iwata back in August, is probably no longer the case.

Apparently Nintendo has taken a page of Sony's book by showing off things at E3 that won't be ready for at least a full calendar year.
