Law Firm Considering Lawsuit Over Recent Xbox Live Bannings
Posted by Lee Price on 11.19.2009

A law firm called AbingtonIP is apparently investigating the recent spate of bannings from Xbox Live of modded consoles as they believe that Microsoft timed the bans to extract the maximum amount of money out of said customers due to the fact that they came between the releases of Halo: ODST and Modern Warfare 2.

The class action lawsuit that the firm have filed would attempt to gain a refund for the sums left on the subscriptions of the thousands who were subject to the bans, though it seems very unlikely that the suit will be successful due to Microsoft having a well established policy on banning modded consoles from the service.

Really? This is endemic of what's wrong with this country. You get busted doing something wrong and you're pissed at the people who busted you.

These shysters will never get this off the ground. Any judge in the world would boot it out of their court.
