Anime and movies among videos available to rent.
Nintendo Japan has released their Theater Room for the "Wii no Ma Channel" (Wii Family Room Channel) today.
The Theater Room will allow users to rent various shows to watch from the Wii. Content can be searched for by genre and ratings. Also, free preview clips can be seen as well.
The pricing depends on what is being selected. For example, an episode of Kirby was seen being able to be rented for 100 yen.
Also, some of the content will be able to be transferred to the DSi to watch while on the go as well.
It seems that they have some good companies giving support to this program. Disney, Warner, Sesame Workshop, Toei, NHK, TV Asahi, Pokemon, Asmik Ace Entertainment and Warp Star are among the groups providing shows and movies.
Nintendo has already said it wants to bring the Wii Family Room Channel to the rest of the world. What would you like to see when the Theater Room gets released worldwide?
