MTV Games & Harmonix Unveil New Commercial and TV Special For Beatles Rock Band

Harmonix and MTV have announced a new marketing campaign for The Beatles: Rock Band. Starting with the release of a new holiday themed commercial that will begin rotation on television stations all across the USA tomorrow. There will be both a 15 second and 30 second version of the commercial. The commercial features a big family singing and performing, The Beatles single "Day Tripper" which can be found on Vol. 2 of the Past Masters CD.
To celebrate the effort made by the Harmonix development team, VH1 has created a "Making of The Beatles: Rock Band" special that will air on VH1 Classic at 7:30 PM ET/PT on November 27. The special includes never-before-seen footage of Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr at Abbey Road witnessing work-in-progress on the game. It also includes interviews with members of the Harmonix development team and Music Producer Giles Martin (Son of Sir George Martin).
The Beatles Rock Band is currently available in all retail stores for XBOX 360, PS3, and Nintendo Wii. The game also has downloadable content that can be purchased in the in-game music store. These include the single "All You Need is Love," The Abbey Road album and Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band album. Rubber Soul will be released in December.
