Mass Effect 2 Surprise Announcement This Week
Posted by Ashish on 11.22.2009
What could it be?
A cryptic message on the BioWare Facebook page indicates that a Mass Effect 2 "surprise" announcement will be made this week. Here's the message...
"Man, so much time tied up today in meetings and 'secret stuff' I didn't get any time with ME2 at all. =( Still with the coming surprise for next week on the ME2 website, I'm sure fans will forgive me for no update. Did I, Evil Chris Priestly, just drop a hint? Yes. Yes I did."

"It's now on the PS3."
Really hope that works out for you

Is it not possible? Bioware isn't Microsoft property and they've already released Dragon Age on PS3. Also, the exclusive Blood Dragon Armor code included in the Dragon Age Collector's Edition is also valid for Mass Effect 2. Converting DVD to Blu-Ray is easier then vise-versa.
Stranger things have happened, Final Fantasy 13 is multi-platform, Metal Gear: Lighting is Multi-platform, Fallout 3 DLC is Multi-platform, why not Mass Effect 2? Bioware would be foolish to exclude a rising PS3 market.
If not, then I would think the surprise would involve Shepherd's fate or Mass Effect 3, but that just sounds lame for a surprise announcement.

I really hope it does. More happy ME gamers and more money in Bioware's pocket. Which I'm hoping leads to more games

What's the point of releasing a direct sequel on a system that doesn't have the first part of the story? Unless they package it with a port of #1, I can't see PS3 being the surprise. Maybe multiplayer (don't care about it but plenty of others do)?
