Says first system to $149 will get PS2's market share...
Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello said at the Global Media and Communications Conference in New York that he thinks Nintendo needs to be more conscious of pricing and innovation going forward, and more supportive of third parties.
"One, it's a very compelling platform. Two, third-parties can do a lot better on the platform with the right support from Nintendo," Riccitiello said (via Gamasutra). "They've always been first-party-centric, and they're learning how to be third-party supportive."
He went on to say that whichever console drops to $149.99 first will inherit the PS2's market share.
"The Wii is not gone. But if they maintain $199 and don't innovate, they're going to have a hard time competing with what's already been announced from Microsoft and Sony," he said.
