Mass Effect 2 Rated M by the ESRB

No love for sex scenes...
According to IGN, the ESRB has rated Mass Effect 2 (M) for Mature due to the 'sex scenes' found in the game.
The ESRB went on to describe things like this:
Players can also choose to have 'romantic encounters' with the alien/human henchmen characters; this involves watching a guided cutscene in which two characters flirt, kiss, and/or embrace: clothed alien/human characters may prop a partner on top of a space console, clear away the clutter from a bed-slab, unzip a future-blouse, or just talk it out," the description reads.
Though an alien/human may gyrate her hips while on top (fleeting—one-to-two seconds), actual sex is never depicted—the camera cuts away to space furniture and ceilings.
Oh baby, I can't wait to see me some hot, hot space furniture.

Lame reason for the rating. If she was topless or if it was like GTA sex then yeah it should get an M. Shifting your hips is just stupid.

Mass Effect 2 should be awesome. M is expected. But I often wish for video games to be exercised under the same guidelines as movies. Meaning, sex scenes for adult games don't involve cutting away or fading to black if that is not the intention of the producer/director. But at least we are in the era where video game publishers are able to produce more "mature" material than ever before.
