Mass Effect 2 To Support Imported Characters

Mass Effect 2 is an eagerly-awaited game, and it got a booster shot in the arm today with the announcement that Mass Effect 1 characters will be importable to the sequel. The characters will need to be saved on a hard drive (for 360 players), and although more than one character can be imported, only the first 11 on your Mass Effect save list can be brought over.
BioWare community man Chris Priestly revealed this information today in the official forums, as well as saying that importing a high-level character who had completed the first game would result in greater bonuses.
