EA Second Guessing Their Relationship With Tiger Woods
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 01.13.2010

The news team over at Go Nintendo.com is reporting that while EA might publicly say they are fine with working with Tiger Woods, a recent third-party survey says differently. According to a story, EA was behind the survey, and the questions indicate that EA is considering severing ties with Tiger Woods all together.

The questions ask consumers if they feel more or less likely to support EA or EA branded Tiger Woods games and also if the controversy that currently surrounds Tiger Woods makes you more or less likely to buy a Woods game.

It would be stupid to sever ties with him. I think everyone knows that when he returns to the course and wins a few times, all will be forgotten. At that point it would cost them a lot more to get him back on board.

Yeah, like "Phil Mickelson's PGA Tour '11" is going to sell. Doubt it, EA stays with Tiger unless he kills somebody or has an overdose.

If he's going to continue to sit home in shame, then I wouldn't blame EA if they dropped him. I don't care about his private life because its none of my business. Make a better Tiger Woods game and I'd buy it

How about you just make improvements on the stale gameplay and people might continue to buy it, regardless of the sex maniac on the box.

I dont see how Tiger Woods cheating on his wife has any relation to me buying Tiger Woods 10 when it comes out, and guess what YES i will buy it when it comes out. If its called PGA Tour 10 i will not. Hows that for you EA, im taking a stand against all this anti-Tiger Woods BS. He cheated on his wife. Good for him. Get over it, lets play Tiger Woods 10.

I actually started playing Tiger Woods 10 again when his scandal hit. What male doesn't wanna bang a bunch of hot chicks. Tiger shoudn't have put a ring on the first hot chick that let him touch her boob.

Ultimately from a marketing standpoint obviously you need Tiger Woods our there on the tour so you can promote your game. However if need be for one iteration, the most EA should do is just what keep him off call it PGA 11 or some generic crap. Once Tiger is back out there or if he is back out there playing again then put him back on the cover.

The should drop Tiger and pick up Shooter McGavin.

I would definately buy Shooter McGavin PGA Tour 2011, hell I wouldn't think twice about buying it! Especially if you could play as wooden handed Chubbs Peterson, or as the fucking alligator!!
