BioWare Shuts Down PS3 Mass Effect 2 Rumor
Posted by Adam Larck on 02.03.2010
Code found due to Unreal Engine.
Just like with Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 is already having rumors pop up of coming to PlayStation 3.
The rumors started when the Polish gaming site Kikoo found a few lines of code in the PC version referencing spending talent points and getting Paragon/Renegade for the PS3. The code looked as follows.
However, in a post in the BioWare Community forum, Community Coordinator Chris Priestly said "The Unreal Engine is cross platform, hence the PS3 code. This was brought up back in Mass Effect 1 days as well. Mass Effect is for the PC and Xbox 360."
While this would make transferring it onto the PS3 easier since some of the code is already written in, it looks like this won't be happening anytime in the near future.
That would make sense, except Paragon and Renegade points are from the game - not the UE3 engine.

Good. I have too many bad ass games I still need to play before God of War III and FF XIII comes out.

FF XIII is on the 360, too, mate.

Yeah, it would really suck if it came out for a platform that could fit the whole game on one disc and allow perfect streaming gameplay instead of constant disc swaps, wouldn't it.

Suck would definately be the word I used to describe the PS3, and I even own one, thanks for finally admitting the truth to yourself.

Yeah, because that whole ONE time to have to swap the disc is a real killer. Oh man, how can I muster up the power to grab a DVD, put it in the tray and wait an extra *gasp* 10 seconds!
