Rock Band DLC Includes Super Bowl Performance, Megadeth
Posted by Chris Lansdell on 02.04.2010

Rock Band is getting a bumper crop of DLC next week. First up, Harmonix announced that The Who's Super Bowl halftime medley will be released as a playable track immediately after the game. Called The Who Super Bowl S-Mashup, it will go for the standard $1.99 pricepoint and will be available on Wii and Xbox 360 after the game, with a PS3 dae listed as "coming soon"...in all likelihood, Thursday February 11. The track being offered is a previously recorded version of the planned performance.

Then in their community newsletter, Harmonix said that Megadeth's 1990 classic album Rust in Peace will be availavle as a full album download, as well as having individual tracks available. The price has not been announced, but generally these releases go for $1.99 per track and $14.99 for a 9-track album. Here's the track listing:

* "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due"
* "Hangar 18"
* "Take No Prisoners"
* "Five Magics"
* "Poison Was the Cure"
* "Lucretia"
* "Tornado of Souls"
* "Dawn Patrol"
* "Rust In Peace... Polaris"

The release is set for February 9 on Xbox and Wii, February 11 on PS3.

Fuck Yes! I still maintain that Rust in Peace should've been DLC ahead of Peace Sells ... But Who's Buying. I glad to see that it's finally coming through.

Oh, Yes.

Now we need some Anthrax DLC. Take Disc 1 of Anthrology: No Hit Wonders (1985-1991), remove I'm the Man, replace it with Be All End All from Disc 2, and we're all set. Then all four of the Horsemen of Thrash will be represented in Rock Band.
