Have a look at some info on the game!
Nintendo and Tecmo's Team Ninja are being pretty tight-lipped about Metroid: Other M, but in a recent interview co-creator Yoshio Sakamoto explained a little about the focus of the game.
"[Different] from the rest of the series, this time we're strongly depicting the human side of Samus through such things as movies. She's a strong woman, but she also has a fragile side. We want to make a game whose charms can be felt from the story areas and these human touches as well. It's an action game, but it's capable of having a clear emotional side."
Sakamoto also revealed a few tidbits on the gameplay side. "This Metroid is being developed with the aim of the ideal form of the old Metroid," he revealed. To accomplish that, Team Ninja's part in the development is to concentrate on taking the "2D jump action game" and making it into "3D action." He also revealed that this "can be realized because of the Wii." Of course, that hints at motion controls.

This game looks amazing and I don't expect it to be anything short of awesome. Someone needs to tell me how the Wii's processing capabilities are a detriment, because I just don't see it, especially when Nintendo is involved in the production of the games that are released for it.
