Lego Star Wars III Announced
Posted by Adam Larck on 02.08.2010

Since Lego Star Wars covered the complete series, I thought the series would be over.

Not true, according to a press release sent by TT Games today. The next game in the series is set for a release this autumn, and will follow The Clone Wars.

Aptly titled Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, the game will release for the Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, Nintendo DS and Wii. It is based on the Cartoon Network series.

The game will have new battle modes and a level editor, building off of the one found in Lego Indiana Jones 2. New tactics will also be in the game, such as "Squad command, Lightsaber slicing, Lightsaber jumps, long distance Jedi attacks and Grapple Tie-Ups."

I don't know, I'm kind of mixed about this one. The Complete Saga was great & I enjoyed playing it with my 5yr old. Same for Lego Indy 1 and for the most part, Lego Batman.

We'll probably get Harry Potter, but I don't know if another Star Wars game is needed.

Maybe it's because he could really care less about the animated show & has pretty much moved onto Super Heroes, Bakugan, real Legos, etc, etc.

So let me guess, in 2 years they'll have Lego Star Wars: Ultimate Complete Super Saga edition with this game & the last all on the same disc?

Sounds fun as the Lego SW games are always a blast. I'd love to see them tackle more superhero stuff like JLA or Spider-Man or something.
