Analysts Predict Rough January For Video Games
Posted by Mark Salmela on 02.08.2010
After a good December analysts are predicting January to be a slow month for video game sales.
While the NPD numbers for January 2010 won't be released until Thursday of this week, popular analyst Michael Patcher is at it again with his predictions for the video game industry. Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter released his sales preview for the month, expecting sales of around $45 million, down from $82 million last January.
Activision's Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Nintendo's New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Wii Fit Plus, and Wii Sports Resort, as well as new releases Mass Effect 2 and Darksiders, are expected to be the top selling titles for the month. Here are the predictions.
