Dragon Quest IX, Final Fantasy XIII among games helping boost sales.
Square Enix announced its nine-month profits today, and it looks like the acquisition of Eidos is helping the company out.
The Japanese publisher earned ¥7.8 billion ($87 million) in profits, up 48.2 percent from 2008. The company also reported revenue of ¥135.4 billion ($1.51 billion), up 30.9 percent from last year.
During this time, the company had multiple big titles releasing around the word, including Dragon Quest IX, Final Fantasy XIII, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 and Batman: Arkham Asylum.
No updates were given on individual sales, but as of November Arkham Asylum had sold 2.63 million units, while Kingdom Hearts 385/2 sold 1.22 million. After its debut in December, FFXIII had sold 1.7 million units.
In the first half of this year, Square Enix will have Supreme Commander 2 on March 2 and Final Fantasy XIII on March 9 releasing in North America to help boost sales, along with Just Cause 2 on March 23.
