With Nintedo's media summit being held today, many big titles were talked about and dated.
While no new titles were announced, all titles discussed were dated to release in the first half of this year. The title many Nintendo fans have been waiting for is Super Mario Galaxy 2, set to release on May 23. Along with the release, they released a trailer, seen below, that details the use Yoshi will have in the game, along with the new areas to jump around in.
Before that releases, however, Monster Hunter Tri will be available on April 20. Unlike in Japan, the online play will be free and will still support Wii Speak. New items will be available to be bought in the Nintendo Store as well. Players that preorder the game from GameStop will get a demo on March 8, along with a 500 Monster Hunter Tri Points Card that can be used in the Wii or DSi shopping channels.
The last big disc release, Metroid: Other M, will be available on June 27. This Metroid title is being handled by Team Ninja and looks to be a 2D side scroller with 3D graphics.
For the WiiWare, Mega Man 10 will release on March 1, followed by Max & the Magic Marker on March 8. The long awaited indie game Cave Story will be out on March 22.
In June, Sin & Punishment 2 will be available on June 7. Subtitled "Star Successor," the game looks to have a good balance of flying and shooting. Check out the gameplay in the trailer below.
Other WiiWare titles that didn't get a release date were Rage of the Gladiator (spring), and FlingSmash, Super Meat Boy and And Yet It Moves, all set for summer releases.
Finally, on the DS, WarioWare D.I.Y. will be out on March 28. A few months later, Picross 3D will be available on May 3. Content packs will also be available to download after it releases. Art Style Light Trax was also said to be coming out, but a release date was not given.
