Green Day: Rock Band Available June 8
Posted by Adam Larck on 03.11.2010

Fans of Green Day only have a few months left to wait for their game.

Green Day: Rock Band will be available on June 8 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii. The game will allow six players, three on mics and three on instruments, to play through 47 songs. The vocals will feature the same harmonization as The Beatles: Rock Band did. Songs that will be in the game include "Brain Stew," "American Idiot," "Wake Me Up When September Ends" and more.

Over 100 images will be able to be unlocked, as well as 40 minutes of "rare and unreleased" footage, including interview, outtakes and performances.

The game will be available for $59.99 for 360 and PS3 owners, and $49.99 for Wii owners. A special edition will be available for 360 and PS3 for $10 more that has fancy packaging, the six previous Green Day DLC tracks and an export voucher to export all 47 songs to the hard drive.

The pre-order bonus at GameStop will also include an export voucher for fans wanting the songs for Rock Band 2. If you don't get a voucher, you can also pay $9.99 or 800 Microsoft Points to export all the songs as well.

I am a huge, huge fan of these games to this day. But even I would say this is the moment they jumped the shark.

If only it were Pearl Jam Rock Band. If only.

Green Day gets the Rock Band treatment and the Stones and Zeppelin don't? You know, groups that are actually in the same league as the Beatles.

PEARL JAM ROCK BAND WOULD BE AWESOME. They unfortunately have 2 full albums available for download so I doubt they'll ever give them a whole game.

And couldn't you just pre-order the game at Gamestop, export the songs, and sell it back to Gamestop for $40 or whatever and then play them all on Rock Band 2 anyway?
