Sony President Promises Killzone 3
Posted by Adam Larck on 03.21.2010

Sony Computer Entertainment of America's President Jack Tretton had a lot to talk about on GameTrailers TV this week.

Tretton started off talking about Killzone 3 before moving into a Natal/EyeToy comparison. While talking about Killzone 3, he said that the game will eventually be announced.

"We own Guerrilla Studios and they did a great job on Killzone 1 and 2," Tretton said. "I don't know when you'll see any announcements about it but I can promise you a Killzone 3."

After promising the third game in the series, Tretton then switched over to talk about the competition, mainly Microsoft's upcoming Natal. While talking about it, he compared it to the "great technology" Sony invented eight years ago, the EyeToy.

"If you really want to get involved in playing with a camera I suggest you go out and buy a $99 PlayStation 2 and play some of the great technology we invented eight years ago," Tretton said. "I think ultimately [the Move] is next generation gaming."

The comparison between the two, which both use a camera for capturing movement, seems to be correct, but the PlayStaton's Move is using the PlayStation Eye to capture movement as well. The main thing that may set Natal and EyeToy apart is the amount of support Microsoft seems to be giving Natal compared to the support the EyeToy saw.

It will be interesting to see the competition between Sony and Microsoft heat up when their devices release later this year.

Okay, so Microsoft is copying Sony, and Sony is copying Nintendo. So who's Nintendo Copying?
