Irish Gambling Site Taking Bets on Super Street Fighter IV Match
Posted by Adam Larck on 04.26.2010

It was bound to happen eventually.

Paddy Power, a online gambling site in Ireland, will be taking bets on an upcoming Super Street Fighter IV match. The match will have Ryan Hart taking on Femi Adeboye, two of the best players in Ireland.

1up is reporting that Paddy Power will stream the match on April 29 at 11 a.m. PST.

"Videogames are as much a legitimate sport as any other," Paddy Power's head of communications Paddy Power said. "We wanted to offer sports fans and games players the ultimate thrill by offering the chance to win big on the outcome of a Super Street Fighter IV competition. If it proves popular, we'll open further books on other videogame competitions."

Fans wanting to check out the betting action can go to their Web site and see the odds for competition winner, match result and fastest round.
