See all 83 songs inside.
After the track list seemed to list for Rock Band 3 last week, Harmonix has officially announced the complete list for the game today.
The list has songs from the 2000s to the 1960s. It features such artists as Jimi Hendrix, Avenged Sevenfold, Smash Mouth, Stone Temple Pilots and more. You can check out the full soundtrack below. Any songs with an * by it will be available in the DS version of the game.
"The Rock Band 3 soundtrack represents the strongest, most diverse collection of music ever assembled for a video game," said Paul DeGooyer, senior vice president of electronic games, music and programming for MTV Games. "The addition of keyboards and vocal harmonies to the Rock Band platform massively broadens the music selection available to our players. You haven't sung Queen's epic "Bohemian Rhapsody" unless you've sung the harmony parts - and you can't do that unless you have Rock Band 3."
The full game will be out for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and DS on Oct. 26 in North America and Oct. 29 for the rest of the world.

i find it very funny that rockband have been pretty much have always been in the forefront as far as music catalogue (including DLC) in the war between them & guitar hero (which has always annoyed me!) looking at the setlists for rockband 3 & Guitar hero:warriors of rock though, guitar hero easily comes out on top!! + there is a lot of recycled songs grom past guitar hero's in the rockband 3 setlist. Bad Form!!! (& the harmony for bohemian really isnt a selling point!!)

Quite a few of these songs were included in previous Guitar Hero setlists... and the Rock Band fanboys sneered down their noses at them... now suddenly these same songs are awesome? That being said, I'll tip my cap for the inclusion of "Midlife Crisis."

Hate to admit it, but the GH - WOR is a better list

As much as I enjoyed Rock Band 2, the setlist for 3 doesn't really appeal to me that much.

The setlist doesn't really impress, but I can't wait to play the keys.

i hope that person doesn't think ROCK LOBSTER was from Family Guy.

All the GH fools saying that the setlist is all GH retreads....how bout you actually get to play the songs with all instruments instead of just a guitar??? Just STFU and keep letting Activision feed you the inferior product while you cry and just be bitter about not owning the ultimate music game that is ROCK BAND!!!

They better have The Final Countdown by Europe as downloadable content

It's among the Lego Rock Band stuff (which is exportable in a convoluted fashion). Whether keyboard support is being added to it is another issue.
"(& the harmony for bohemian really isnt a selling point!!)"
I have to disagree on that one (exhibit A: Wayne's World scene).
1960s, 1970s & 1980s is where most of the prime stuff is. It's nice to see Freebird (for the first time since GH2) in a rythym game written by people who actually know how to compose decent notecharts. From a personal perspective, I would've preferred Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding to have been included instead of Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting, but you can't have everything.

Are you stupid?

Why is Van Halen not represented here? WTF? Harmonix better be creating a Rock Band: Van Halen game. Total sack of shit that I can't play "Jump", "Right Now", or some other synth-heavy crap on this...

Weak line up, Lego Rock Band was better

Um, Guitar Hero has featured full-band support for some time now, genius. Although I actually would have preferred they remained focused exclusively on guitar-driven music, which is why Warriors of Rock seems a little more intriguing than the past couple releases.

I must be getting really old. I only like what I see from the 1990's list on down.

I wanna know what happended to the people who selected the songs for rockband 1 & 2 cuz theres no way the same people chose these songs. What the heck were they thinking? Who is gonna buy this game and be like gah I can't wait to play Rehab, or rock lobster, or rilo kiley or so many others? I mean they are like yeah bohemian rhapsody, yeah that song is great but only if you are singing it. What percentage of the gamers who buy this game buy it to sing? Majority buy these games for the guitar and the drums. You can't argue that. Guitar Hero releases Rush's 2112 so drummers can play some of Neil Peart's stuff, btw, Neil Peart is prolly the greatest drummer ever, and then on guitar they have ozzy, pantera, metallica, megadeath, slayer. I mean those are the types of bands people wanna play cause the biggest percentage of players either play guitar or drums. Theres nothing wrong with throwing in a few awesome vocal songs like bohemian rhapsody, but come on, this setlist is by far rockands weakest setlist. Which is disappointing cuz rockband 2 was epic.
