Resident Evil Creator Thinks Motion Controls Are Not Yet Mainstream

Ten more years, he says...
Playstation Move hits stores this month and Microsoft's Kinect is not far off, but Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami doesn't think that motion controls will become mainstream for another 10 years.
"I don't think motion controls will be in the gaming mainstream in the next ten years," Mikami explained. "When the technology gets to the point where you can just flick your eyeballs around and the computer can pick it up, you won't need a controller anymore. Obviously it's going to take a while to get there."
Mikami is bang on. What's the point when you still have to hold a controller on your hand? You might as well play the classic way.

What the fuck is he talking about? The Wii has sold more units than god, and Nintendo are the kings of "casual gaming" i.e., people who enjoy games but also have things to do besides play Modern Warfare all day. Motion controls are already in the mainstream, dude.
