Super Mario Special Collection Pack Coming to Wii

In Japan only for now...
Nintendo has confirmed that Super Mario Collection Special pack will be coming to the Wii on October 21...in Japan. The game will basically be a visually-updated version of Super Mario All-Stars (with Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels) that comesw with a couple of bonuses. The first of these is a booklet entitled Super Mario History 1985-2010, which will contain previously unseen development images and information. The second is a soundtrack CD with music from all Mario series games up to and including Super Mario Galaxy 2.
There is no word on whether this will reach North America, but it had better.

I would pay $100 for this, based off the bonus soundtrack discs alone.

Dammit I don't have a Wii (I like my old school emulators, thank you very much)...I will definitely want to check to see if any of the Mario History books appear on eBay tho...

Wish they'd add Mario World 1 & 2.

They should add SMW and SMW2.

Rubbish. You could download all these games already through the Virtual Console. And the soundtrack? Back in 2002ish, this would be great - but in 2010 with sites like Youtube? No way...
