Updated E3 2011: Microsoft Press Conference Round-up
Posted by Adam Larck on 06.06.2011

Update: The price for the Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary edition has been given.

According to 343 Industries' David Ellis on Twitter, the game will cost $39.99 when it releases on Nov. 15.

Also, like Halo 3: ODST, the multiplayer maps will be for loading into Halo: Reach. The only Live connection the game will have will be for co-op.

Original: With the Microsoft press conference now over, we have all of your E3 information here about what was announced.

The conference started with Modern Warfare 3 gameplay before transitioning into some Tomb Raider gameplay, with the game out next fall.

Mass Effect 3 was then announced to have Kinect voice recognition support, while PGA, Madden and FIFA will support Kinect as well.

Ubisoft then announced that all Tom Clancy games will now feature Kinect support. Ghost Recon was shown off with the feature, customizing guns.

A new Kinect dashboard was shown off, along with the announcement of YouTube support, Bing support to find games and movies on Xbox Live, and Live TV support. All of this is coming in the fall.

Continuing with the media announcements, Dana White announced a UFC deal to watch fights on Live.

Finally, Microsoft got back to the games, showing off Gears of War 3, announcing Ryse, from Crytek, and showing off Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. You can see trailers for the last two below.

Other games talked about were Forza 4, Fable: The Journey, Minecraft (coming this winter), Kinect Disneyland Adventures, Kinect Star Wars, Once Upon a Monster (from Double Fine), Kinect Sports 2 and Dance Central 2. All of these games will support Kinect.

During the demo of Dance Central 2, it was also shown that two people will be able to have a dance-off at the same time.

Kinect Fun Labs, which lets you mess with Avatars and various other activities, is available today for all Live members.

Finally, the conference ended with a teaser for Halo 4. The game will start a new trilogy, and will be out in the holiday season of 2012.

After looking at this conference, I have to say it sucked. They concentrated on Kinect and voice control gimmicks for xbox live tv. Then a rehash of Halo 1. I will be the first to admit I will play Halo 4 but everything else is a you are lame and you suck. Damn Microsoft come harder. And on top of that call of duty exclusive dlc----bite me

If Blood gulch isn't in this, Bungie are going to be receiving an extremely strongly worded letter from me.

If you're mad about exclusive DLC then you probably don't have a 360, so I guess it's not surprising the conference "sucked" huh?

Jaketh, if you are mad at that, then bungie isnt your target... they no longer have anything to do with the Halo Franchise anymore... Halo 4 and Halo:CEA will more than likely be made by 343 industries.

im going to buy both, but im not expecting much...
