BioWare Releases New Mass Effect Stats
Posted by Adam Larck on 07.20.2011

According to BioWare, the male version of Shepard in Mass Effect is still pretty popular.

While talking to VG24/7, BioWare said about 18 percent of players play a female character. Meanwhile, 83 percent of players customize their character in some way.

"The beautiful thing about the Mass Effect series is the fact that the player gets to make choices that actually impact the game and make their entire game experience unique to them," Director of Marketing David Silverman said.

What about those of us that like to do multiple playthroughs with different characters? I usually tend to try out both and see if there is any difference.

But what about the stat of creepy weird guys who do Female Shepard so they can get lesbo action with a brunette Yvonne Strahovski?

Zero since Miranda isn't a gay option.

Ignorant twit.

I'm sure multiple playthroughs by the same player are all counted - it's supposed to be anonymous, and they wouldn't know if it's two different people in the same house or the same player.

And yes, best games ever. They need to get Faunts to do the ending theme for ME3 - their song made the ending of ME1 that much better. M83 would be a good choice too.....

You'd think the female Shepard would be hot, but all the options make her look old, weathered, and generally unattractive. The male Shepard is the only way to go.

I play both characters. Femshep is my main game when I dont reload old saves to change things. Male Shep is my other to see other sides of the story and to decide how I want things to go.

You have/had a very sad childhood, didn't you?

It's a shame that so much awesome effort goes into providing dialog and scenes for Female Shepherd that 83% of players never see.

Same with the Engineer class being ignored in favour of big guns.
