Double Fine New Project to be Funded by Kickstarter

Double Fine announced a new project that will be funded entirely by Kickstarter donations. The game is described as "a brand-new, downloadable 'Point-and-Click' graphic adventure game for the modern age."

They are seeking $400,000 for the entire project and donations will be accepted up until March 13. Through the duration of the project 2 Player Productions will document the project with "monthly video updates available exclusively to the Kickstarter backers."

There will be rewards for donating to the project including exclusive beta access, HD documentary downloads, a signed poster and more, all the way up to lunch with Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert and a tour of the Double Fine offices. According to a post on Double Fine's official site there will also be Premium Rewards for those who donate $15,000.
