Diablo III set for Q2 release.
Activision has announced that its 2011 revenue is up from last year.
The net revenue ended at $4.76 billion, up from $4.45 billion from last year.
Overall, the company claimed the top console and handheld publishing spot for both Q4 and 2011 overall.
Besides announcing profits, the company announced that a new Call of Duty is planned for this year (big surprise, right?). Also coming this year is Diablo III, which is pegged for release in Q2.
"Our extraordinary employees around the world are focused on making 2012 another great year for our audience and stakeholders," Activions president Bobby Kotick said. "Blizzard Entertainment plans to have multiple highly-anticipated titles to release, including Diablo 3, and Activision Publishing expects to release a new Call of Duty game. In addition, Activision Publishing expects to continue to grow Call of Duty Elite and launch Skylanders Giants."
Speaking of Call of Duty, Activision announced that Elite membership is up to 7 million users, with 1.5 million being paid.
