Capcom re-evaluating on-disc DLC.
While Street Fighter X Tekken has sold over a million units, Capcom has said the game didn't do as well as they expected.
"Sales of Street Fighter X Tekken have fallen short of our plan. We believe one of causes is cannibalism because of the large number of other games in this genre that were launched within a short time," Capcom stated.
In that same release window was Mortal Kombat on Vita, Soulcalibur 5 and Skullgirls.
Also, Capcom stated that they are re-evaluating putting DLC on the disc.
"We would like to assure you that we have been listening to your comments and as such have begun the process of re-evaluating how such additional game content is delivered in the future," senior vice president Christian Svensson says.
Svensson does add that Dragon's Dogma will also have on-disc DLC, because they decided to add it "at the beginning of the game's development cycle as at the time this was determined to be the most efficient way of ensuring certain content was made available."
