New Graphic Novel and Art Book Announced for Dead Space

Electronic Arts announced in an official press release today, the release of a new graphic novel based on the Dead Space game series, called Dead Space: Liberation. The book was written by Ian Edginton and penciled by Christopher Shy.
The story centers around Sergeant John Carver who is a featured character in Dead Space 3 alongside Isaac Clarke. The plot sets up the co-op campaign for the new game and reveals how John Carver got his dementia. Dead Space: Liberation will be released along with Dead Space 3 on February 5 for $17.95.
In addition, there will be a new art book released for the game series called The Art of Dead Space. The book will feature more than 300 images, concept sketches and art, and commentary from the artists. The Art of Dead Space will also be released on February 5 for $34.95.
Dead Space 3 hits on February 5, 2013 in north America and February 8, 2013 in Europe for the PS3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC.
