DmC: Devil May Cry outlook reduced.
Capcom has reported $72 million in net income for the first nine months of its current fiscal year.
This is a 104.9 percent increase from last year. The year ends on March 31, 2012.
Capcom stated the success was due to major games releasing, social games growing in Japan and the launch of the Resident Evil 5 slot machine.
The company also reported that DmC: Devil May Cry shipped 1 million units in January, down from the 2 million units the last title shipped in two weeks at retail. Because of this, Capcom has reduced the sales forecast by the end of the fiscal year to 1.2 million units instead of the previous 2 million it projected last May.
Meanwhile, Resident Evil 6 is projected to sell 4.8 million by the end of March and Dragon's Dogma is now projected to sell 1.25 million units. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, the Wii U title which is only out in Japan at the moment, sold 600,000 units in the first month.
