Launch Party Details Announced for StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm

Nine official launch parties will be held worldwide on March 11 for StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm.
Kicking things off that day will be a 21-hour launch broadcast available on StarCraft's website in conjunction with Twitch.tv. The event will let gamers not in the party areas watch the matches and events going on throughout the day.
"The StarCraft community has been anticipating Heart of the Swarm for a long time," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "I believe you will find it was worth the wait. We're looking forward to celebrating the release by hosting an awesome global launch party in two weeks and delivering our best StarCraft content to date."
The US event, hosted by Blizzard and GameStop, will take place at The Great Wheel Court of the Irvine Spectrum Mall in Irvine, Cal. It will kick off at 9 p.m. PDT March 11 and will feature pro gamers playing matches and various giveaways.
