Ron Gilbert Leaves Double Fine

Looking towards next move.
The Cave creator Ron Gilbert announced today that he is leaving Double Fine Productions.
The reason for the departure is to "plot his next move" in the industry.
The move splits up Gilbert and Double Fine founder Tim Schafer, who worked on The Secret of Money Island and Monkey Island 2 together as writers.
While Gilbert has no immediate plans outside of working with Clayton Kauzlaric on an iOS title, Scurvy Scallywags in The Voyage to Discover the Ultimate Sea Shanty: A Musical Match-3 Pirate RPG, he did note that there are "so many games left to be designed."
