Disney Infinity Pushed Back To August

Two month delay...
The New York Times reports that Disney Infinity has been pushed back to August from a June release.
It will now be released on August 18 in North America and August 20 internationally. The game was set to be released around the time of Pixar's Monsters University. Retailers were asking for a launch closer to the holiday season, which begins in October. It will also beat the next edition of Skylanders, which will be out in the fall.
John Pleasants, co-president of Disney Interactive, said: "We think it's good to be first and really lean into the most important selling season of the year. We could deliver in June if we wanted to. Will a two-month timing change help us? Sure, of course. It gives us a little more time to add bells and whistles and make sure it really sings and pops."
