Gaming publisher Deep Silver announced today they will be releasing Saints Row IV, once again developed by Volition, the latest installment of the Saints Row franchise for a Fall release.
Volition continues the story of the Third Street Saints who have now become the leaders of the free world. In Saints Row IV, the leader of the Saints has become the President of the United States. However, now the world is under attack from a catastrophic alien invasion, and the aliens have transported the Saints to a bizarro-Steelport simulation.
Players will be able to wield new superpowers to fight to free humanity from the grasp of the alien leader Zinyak. Players will be able to select an arsenal of alien weaponry and technology and utilize superpowers to fight to the top including being able to leap over buildings, outrun sports cars, or use telekinesis to send your enemies flying.
The game will be available on current-gen consoles and PC on August 20, 2013 in North America and August 23, 2013 in the rest of the world. You can check out the new trailer below.
