Are they legit?
Kotaku claims to be in possession of casting documents for the still yet to be announced Fallout 4 from Bethesda Softworks.
The project is reportedly codenamed "Institute" and is said to have a Boston setting. The documents also indicate other Fallout-related locations and characters. The same casting director who worked on Bethesda titles such as Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Dishonored is said to have handled the new documents.
The alleged scripts are said to mention the Institute, the version of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Fallout, and the Commonwealth, the game's post-apocalyptic Massachusetts. A mission reportedly involves a character named Preston Garvey who sends you to "salvage a fusion core from a museum in the Commonwealth.
The scripts also feature a radio DJ named Travis miles and an engineer by the name of Sturges. The main character is said to have male and female variants, both of whom will start the game in a cryogenic sleep chamber.
A Bethesda spokesperson commented to CVG on the news, "We don't comment on rumor and speculation."
The Kotaku report goes on to note that none of this material may end up in the final game.
