Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught DLC Pack Set For PS4, PS3 and PC This Month
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 02.05.2014

Activision has officially announced that the new Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught DLC Pack will be available for PS4, PS3, and Windows PC later this month on Thursday, February 27.

The new Onslaught DLC features four new multiplayer maps, an all-new "Maverick" dual-purpose assault rifle/sniper rifle, and the first installment in Extinction's four-part narrative DLC, Episode 1: Nightfall.

Below are the maps included in the DLC pack:

  • Fog: an homage to classic horror films, set alongside a murky lake. Players who pick up the map's Filed Order can beome Michael Myers, and the soundtrack will feature the Halloween movie franchise theme music.

  • BayView: This is a coastal Californian boardwalk in a seaside town. The map will feature a moving trolley, and players will also be able to call in artillery strikes from the Naval Destroyer anchored offshore.

  • Containment: This map is set in a war-torn Mexican village. The action focuses on the crippled remains of a small bridge holding a hijacked truck that's leaking radioactive material.

  • Ignition: This is a re-imagined version of the Scrapyard map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It's set in a deserted space launch facility with abandoned warehouses, flame trenches, and a massive transport crawler.

Also included is the Maverick weapon. The gun is outfitted with a lightweight wood stock and a digital screen display. Players can use the gun as an assault rifle or sniper rifle.

Rounding out the DLC pack is the first installment of Exinction's new, four-part episodic narrative. This will feature a connected story that will be told across each DLC pack launch throughout 2014. Episode 1: Nightfall starts at a remote research facility hidden in the Alaskan wilderness. A small recon team is there to infiltrate the facility to find out what happened to the Nightfall Program.

The Onsalught DLC pack is available as a standalone DLC pack for $14.99, or players can purchase the Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC Season Pass. Season Pass holders will receive all four DLC packs for the suggested retail price of $49.99.
