Patch and Update Announced for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 04.25.2014

Konami officially announced today that a new patch and update will be released for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes early next month. The update will be available on May 1.

The update is in celebration of one million copies being shipped worldwide for the game. Kojima Productions says that the new update will unlock and allow players to use the Deja vu and Jamais Vu platform exclusive missions for all consoles. The Deja vu mission, originally available for the PlayStation consoles, is based on missions from the original Metal Gear Solid game and lets you play as a pixelated, low polygon Solid Snake. To get through the mission, players have to recreate key scenes and as a reward, they will see flashbacks to the previous game.

The Jamais Vu mission, originally an Xbox-exclusive mission, references the 1988 game Snatcher, the second video game that Hideo Kojima wrote and direction. The mission features bioroid "Snatchers" being dropped into Camp Omega to kill and steal the identities of everyone they come in contact with. This mission allows you to play as Snake or Raiden.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is currently available for the PS4, the PS3, the Xbox One, and the Xbox 360.
