The Last Of Us Directors To Take On Uncharted 4
Posted by Joseph Lee on 06.02.2014

In an interview with Game Informer, Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells revealed that The Last of Us directors Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley will be in charge of the next Uncharted game. This comes after series creator and writer Amy Hennig left Naughty Dog in March.

Wells said: "It's not so much of a transition period, actually. We've asked them to lead the project."

Naughty Dog uses a loose, two-team structure for their projects. Druckmann and Straley previously worked on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves before The Last of Us. Another team, led by Hennig and director Justin Richmond (who also left), worked on Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. Naughty Dog also lost its lead character artists over the past few months.

The villain in the next Uncharted game has been changed. Hennig, meanwhile, is working at Visceral Games and will be the writer for a future Star Wars game. The next Uncharted game, which hasn't officially been named Uncharted 4 yet, could be shown at Sony's E3 press conference next week.
