Halo: The Master Chief Collection Not Headed to Xbox 360, PC
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 06.22.2014

Microsoft will not be bringing Halo: The Master Chief Collection to Xbox 360 or PC. A new Halo: Waypoint blog post revealed the news, reading as follows:

We do not have any plans to bring the game to Xbox 360 as the game size, enhanced features and technical specifications simply can't support it. We are dedicated to bringing a full and fun experience to Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One, providing you with dedicated servers, a unified interface, increased visual fidelity, and gameplay running at 60 fps.

343 Industries' Bonnie Ross confirmed the lack of porting to the PC, telling Eurogamer, "Right now we are focused on Xbox One. We've been on PC before, and Dan [Ayoub] has had games like Halo: Spartan Assault on there. We're listening to the PC fans, but right now this is all focused on Xbox One."

The The Master Chief Collection will include Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4, along with access to the Halo 5 multiplayer beta. It releases on November 11th.
