Another lawsuit for Lohan…
The NY Daily News reports that Lindsay Lohan has decided to go through with a lawsuit against Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive Software. The celebrity is claiming the creators of Grand Theft Auto V used her image and likeness without her permission.
Lohan previously threatened to sue the companies about seven months ago. She claims that the minor in-game character, Lacey Jonsa, is based on her likeness. The lawsuit also notes that the game features the Chateau Marmont hotel, where Lohan previously lived in West Hollywood.
The game has an optional side mission after meeting Jonas, where the players have to escape an aggressive group of photographers.
A representative of Take-Two reportedly declined to comment on the lawsuit, but noted that the company does not publicly discuss legal matters.
The case is currently pending. Rockstar is arguing that the suit should be dismissed because creative works of fiction and satire are shielded against such claims.
