They have a 10-year commitment to the game…
Speaking to Trusted Reviews, Bungie community manager David Dague talked about Bungie working hard to turn Destiny into a franchise. Below are some highlights.
The Destiny beta has now begun on PS4 and PS3. It will be available on July 23 for Xbox One and Xbox 360. It will remain open on all formats until July 27 at 11:59PM PST.
Dague on turning Destiny into a franchise: "[Bungie has] to earn the right to put a number on the box."
Dague on Bungie's aim with Destiny: "We have to do our jobs to build a big, beautiful world that people do truly want to explore further. We have to capture their imaginations with a story that has them asking more questions as they get to the end of this first game."
Dague on Bungie's ten-year commitment to Destiny: "This is kind of our first date - take a step into this world and play this game. If we told someone 'we're going to be together for 10 years', then we are the overly attached developer."
