Europe gets it first.
This morning, Nintendo of Europe announced that the Virtual Console will be welcoming a new addition to its list of platforms with the inclusion of the Commodore 64.
The release of the Commodore 64 in 1982 was an historic moment for the computer and video games industry. According to the Guinness Book of World Records it remains the best selling single computer model of all time, with an estimated 22 million units sold.
Among the first titles from Commodore 64 which will be made available on Virtual Console are International Karate and Uridium. These great titles will be bolstered by regular updates to the line-up from the Commodore 64 back catalogue.
Virtual Console games from Commodore 64 will be available from the Wii Shop Channel soon and can be downloaded for 500 Wii Points each. Currently these titles will only be available in Europe.
Should be pretty cool for older gamers like myself. Time for some good ol' text-based RPGs like Zork. Long as I dont have to type run or load I'll be good with it

Did the isometric Ultimate games (Alien 8, Knight Lore, Head over Heels)come out for the C64 or just the Spectrum?
But 500 points?? Seriously, that is about USD7 I think. 100 points would have been more like it.

Seeing the Wii has keyboard support, this could be huge as long as they make it function with the keyboard. Rock on.
