Check out the XBLA version of the original Soul Calibur.
Namco Bandai Games America today released screenshots for Soulcalibur, their latest game for Xbox LIVE Arcade. Originally released in 1999 for the Sega Dreamcast, Soulcalibur remains the highest rated fighting game of all time and the screens highlight the transition to the high definition era and fan favorite characters.
Soulcalibur will be available on Xbox LIVE Arcade this summer. Check out the screenshots below.
I played this game to death on my DC, but as great as it was, I am wondering what is my motivation to pay to play now that there are several more advanced versions available...

Exactly, I picked up Soul Calibur 2 again for like $5. I've probably owned this game 5-6 times. It looks great on 360 and if I put it on 1080i, my TV will let me run it widescreen. Only letterbox on 720p though. Still an amazing game that holds up. I don't know why I'd want to pay $10+ for the XBLA one unless it has all the features of the DC release.
By the looks of the "insert coin" text in the screen shots I would have to guess it's a straight arcade port. I guess the demo will justify if it's worth it
