Enjoy six classic board games from your couch
Join your host Mr. Potato Head for Hasbro Family Game Night from EA's Casual Entertainment Label. Launching in the fall of 2008 for the Wii and PlayStation 2 systems the game will feature six classics: Battleship, Yahtzee, Boggle, Connect Four, Sorry! and the all new, Sorry! Sliders.
Families can enjoy the games in their classic modes or play updated versions of the games such as Connect Four Power Chips, Boggle Portal Cubes, Reverse Yahtzee and Battleship Barrage. Hasbro Family Game Night is slated for a fall 2008 release.
Here's a crazy idea: why don't people just go ahead and buy the board games themselves? This is yet another sign of the lazy mentality that society has had in recent decades.

thats really a poor choice. if there were to be a PROPEr boardgame game. i'd expect something like... cluedo, chess/checkers (same board layout so it countd as same game), operation, snakes an ladders, scrabble, hungry hippos and fucking monoploy.
i know those games arent all hasbro but it would much more interesting then that shite

How is playing video games any different than playing a board game? Just another example of the people who complain about anything online. If anything you will get more of a workout playing the Wii version thanks to the Wiimote.

These games kind of defeat the purpose of the family game night - which is to get out from in front of the TV and get together with your family.
Historically, board games haven't fare well on consoles, since it's way more fun physically playing them with real pieces and boards. They do have an advantage in that you don't have to find people to join up and play with. But computer AI is often either too cheap or easy. Online play would be great, but again that defeats the purpose of getting together to play a board game.
At least you'll save room on storage... these games can be a pain to store.

And on advantage I forgot... having Mr. Potato Head host may be worth the price of admission alone!
