[Nintendo DS] The Tale of Despereaux Announced

The handheld game is based upon the forthcoming animated film from Universal Pictures.

Per a press release from Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group today, Brash Entertainment will be publishing a Nintendo DS version of The Tale of Despereaux, based on the action adventure animated feature film being released by Universal. Developed by Fizz Factor, a Foundation 9 Studio, The Tale of Despereaux shares the story of the upcoming holiday film, and will both follow and extend the storyline from the feature film. The films cast includes Matthew Broderick, Dustin Hoffman, Emma Watson and Tracey Ullman as well as Kevin Kline, William H. Macy, Stanley Tucci, Ciaran Hinds, Robbie Coltrane, Tony Hale, Frances Conroy, Frank Langella, Richard Jenkins, Christopher Lloyd, James Nesbitt and Sigourney Weaver.

Games based on the movie have already been announced for the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, Playstation 2 and PC and will be available on December 2, 2008.
