[Msc] D3Publisher to offer Astro Boy games next year

Games will tie-in with the upcoming movie featuring the manga/anime legend

D3Publisher (D3P) has announced that will publish video games based on the upcoming Astro Boy animated movie, currently scheduled for release on October 23, 2009.

Created in the 1950s by "the god of manga," Osamu Tezuka, Astro Boy has been featured in three acclaimed animated series aired around the world. The upcoming movie tells the story of a young robot with amazing powers and his various adventures as he searches for his identity and destiny. Freddie Highmore will voice the title role, and will be joined by an all-star cast including Nicolas Cage, Kristen Bell, Nathan Lane, Bill Nighy, Eugene Levy, and Donald Sutherland.

D3P has announced that games for both handheld systems and consoles will be released to coincide with the movie next October.
