You May Never Pay for World of Warcraft Again
Posted by Chad Alan on 12.29.2008

Katherine Allen, a Blizzard employee, is asking for WoW players to unite for a good cause. If you donate at least $25 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Socieity (LLS) through Fundraiser you will be entered into a drawing to have Katherine pay for your online WoW account for as long as you play. If you do make sure to add the comment "for the alliance" or "for the horde" along with your donation.

Her initial idea was to hand out 3 One year membership cards to supporters, but after she noticed the donations surpassed $5,500 she decided it was not enough. Last checked, the donations were up over $16,000 and still rising.

How is it stupid to help out a good cause to cure sick people? Don't forget, $25 could get you a free WoW account if you play.

I have no problem donating the money, and i don't play wow.

I just don't think people should need incentive to donate to a good cause.

But hey whatever works.

Let's see, WoW has a player base close to 11 million. Take that at $25 a pop, and that's $275 million that could potentially be made. Still think it's stupid?
