Couple Wed Halo Style

And I thought "Ren" weddings were nerdy.....
On January 17, 2009, Desirai Labrada and John Henry entered the bonds of holy matrimony. They met through the greatest dating website of all, Halo. The two met while playing Halo on Xbox Live back in December 2004. Labrada relocated to Florida to attend Full Sail University, a school where most learn the creative process behind games.
Full Sail University sponsored the event and held it at the Orlando Science Center. It was a Halo themed wedding with a Halo cake, a string quartet playing music from the Halo Soundtrack, and wedding party attire featuring the couples Halo emblems.
Stephen Totilo, MTV's Multiplayer Editor, blogged about the wedding and featured parts of the wedding on MTV.
Many Central Florida area businesses offered to donations to help with the Halo themed wedding including:Apple Blossom Florist & Gifts; Safia Pulliam – Makeup Artist; and Zoet Finest Cakes.
"It was a day we will never forget," said Labrada. "To have our special moment be celebrated in this way alongside family, friends, the Orlando community, and fellow gamers was an incredible experience and we could not be more appreciative to all who made it possible. John and I truly are teammates for life."
