Infinity Ward Using Twitter to Get Gamers' Thoughts
Posted by Greg Bruno on 03.02.2009
Voice your thoughts on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Robert Bowling, director of communications for Infinity Ward, has set up a Twitter page for fans of the series to see what they would like to see in the upcoming Call of Duty game. So far, 232 pages worth of suggestions have been discussed.
From his FourZeroTwo blog, Robert Bowling states that the post has become incredibly popular on Twitter after simply posting "Name one thing you'd like to see in Modern Warfare 2."
From the Twitter page, users can submit responses and vote on suggestions. This will allow the popular ideas to rise in rank and be viewed by the game's designers. Traiditonally, developers have been leary of posting topics like this due to a potential "who-invented-it" ordeal, so it's not understood how much of what is presented will be taken in.
Robert Bowling also states that Twitter will be used in the future to inform users of upcoming events, beta tests, and other topics.
I love this idea, but i'm so tired of the people who suggest stupid things. Like 40 vs 40 matchs. Come on people there's enough lag in a 6 on 6 match. Also the customization, skrew that, why do we need that. One thing i would love to see is a snow map. Also don't get rid of juggernaut unless they get rid of stomping power. Get rid of Martyrdom, please, you don't shit nades when you die. Well maybe the chinese since they're full of lead but no.
